Overview
Focusing on light and material textures, Of Light Studio is a young visualisation studio based in North England. Led by its founder Alex Dormon, the studio wanted to look into developing a website that encapsulates studio’s ethos and showcases the imagery in an engaging manner.
Opportunity
Similarly to architectural practices, visualisation studios need to present their work online in a compelling and engaging way. As Of Light Studio’s services consist entirely of digital output, it was paramount to establish a cohesive website with enough intricate details to allow visitors to freely roam and explore the studio’s work. How can we visually interpret Of Light Studio’s work into a web format while ensuring the imagery remains the primary focus?

Outcome
Apart from the visualisations, the creative use of typography was equally vital to display on the site. Upon arrival, a set of titles suggests the types of projects the team works on. Thanks to intricate hover states, visitors can get an immediate glimpse of the artwork.
Throughout the site, a pastel green hue envelops scattered image galleries, guiding visitors to project details. In contrast, a new colour is introduced for the ‘about’ section, creating a clear visual break from the main body of the site. A simple image grid in the ‘work’ section depicts the studio’s professional and personal projects, showcasing a tapestry of images that captivate with their unique atmosphere.
